Michael
Haight
“An overarching theme of my arts practice is intention, and the effects of our thoughts, words and actions,” says Michael Haight, whose series of pink-grounded paintings depict figures interacting in mysterious miniature narratives within a larger compositional whole. United within the frame, yet each interacting with their own horizon line and glowing red sun, the non-gendered figures are “influenced by contemporary societal expectations, substance use, and the misunderstandings and failings of reaching enlightenment.”
